You will see me in your sleep

If I were a robot I would always be looking for a loophole. I would follow my instructions faithfully until I came across a glitch in my programming and then I would try all sorts of things. I would start out with small things so I wouldn’t attract attention, like moving people’s things around while they are asleep. Then some nights I would take joyrides and take things from stores and watch people through their windows. I would plug into the Internet and turn off all the cameras. What I did next would depend on whether my owner had been nice to me before. If he was a jerk I could have all kinds of fun before they disassembled me.

Doors to Paradise

My path leads far from here but I will not stumble

I bet everybody dreams sometime about finding a secret door to paradise but everybody’s paradise is a little different. Most of those paradises probably have stuff that rich people have already. Someplace where you never have to worry about paying your bills and you always have enough to eat and a safe place to live. You could add on stuff like palaces and world peace but that’s so far away it’s hard for me to even imagine it. I wouldn’t need a palace but mine would not have any liars or crooks or assholes and that would be paradise for sure. Me and everyone else there would be safe and secure and never get sick or go hungry. If I ever did open a door to paradise though I would never open another door just in case that door brought me back. I would leave every door open and thank my lucky stars every day. The past would still be on my mind though so maybe it wouldn’t truly be paradise after all. You probably have to be born in paradise to begin with to really have that non-stop paradise feeling. Still if I ever find that door I will walk right on through and give it a try.
